Tamara Vander Lugt, MBA, CSM
Director of Marketing
Tamara has an extensive background, with over 15 years of experience in strategic marketing and project management. Having worked on domestic and international projects in a number of sectors, Tamara thrives on working with start-up projects and takes a creative approach to marketing. She joined the DātaMax Corporation team in October 2020, as the Director of Marketing, with the objective to build and grow the Marketing Department. After one month at DātaMax Corporation, Tamara took over the leadership of the Client Experience Team in the Collections Division and by December, she rolled out the implementation of a new CRM system for the 2021 calendar year, among a number of internal marketing programs companywide.
She has a BS in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University (class of 2005), playing on a collegiate volleyball scholarship. Over an 11-month time frame, Tamara received her MBA with a concentration in Marketing in 2012, while working full-time, traveling throughout the southeast for work. In 2013, she received her Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt Certification and became a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) in July 2020.
In her spare time, she is a volleyball coach with a travel volleyball club in Winston-Salem, working with the 17-year-old age group of girls, since the fall of 2018. From 2018-2020, Tamara was the Head Volleyball Coach at Salem Academy, also coaching and refereeing volleyball at a number of local high schools and volleyball clubs since 2001, contributing her knowledge from playing at competitive levels for 17 years. Between 2013 and 2017, Tamara served on the Boards of The Piedmont Club (serving on five committees), The Hispanic League (serving on the marketing and re-branding committees), Winston-Salem Youth Chorus, Clemmons Rotary Club, Dress for Success, was a member of the Winston-Salem Jaycees and a volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank.
Tamara likes to stay busy, spending time with her family and friends, swimming, snowboarding and mountain biking.
