DataMax Corporation was organized in 1889 and incorporated in 1909 as the Winston-Salem Retail Merchants Association. Since 1981 the company has grown and diversified considerably. The acquisition of ten credit bureaus, including collection divisions and an independent collection agency, enabled us to grow our accounts receivable management division and become a leader in the collection industry. In 1992 our name was changed to DataMax Corporation to more accurately reflect the business of the company which is to provide information and business solutions to our clients. In February 2000, we sold our credit reporting division to Equifax Credit Information Services, Inc. The divestiture has enabled us to concentrate on our core debt collections services and offer our clients the personal attention and results that differentiate us from the competition.
