Staff Bios

Robert Egleston
Robert joined DataMax in March of 2007 after spending 27 years with Fortune 500 companies Ingersoll-Rand, RJ Reynolds and Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has worked in various fields including engineering, manufacturing, real estate, contracts administration and community relations.

From 1999 until early 2007 he managed Lowe’s Home Improvement’s nationwide community relations program. In addition to working with their Foundation and Employee Relief Fund, he spearheaded national partnerships with United Way, American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity.

Robert is a 1979 Industrial Engineering graduate of Virginia Tech and has an MBA from Appalachian State University. He has lived in Winston-Salem since 1981 and served the community in various volunteer capacities with the Coliseum & Convention Center Commission, Tourism Development Authority, Housing Authority. In 1986 Robert co-founded Santa’s Helper, a local charity now in its 21st year that teams with Wake Forest athletes each December to deliver presents to more than 200 families.

Robert and his wife, Amy, have two grown children.

Lisa Venable
Lisa is a 1991 graduate of UNC-Greensboro with a BS in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has been with DataMax since 1989 and became controller in 1995. She was promoted to VP and CFO in 2005 and became Senior VP in 2006. In August 2009, Lisa was awarded Small Business CFO of the Year by Triad Business Journal.

Lisa is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the NC Association of CPA’s and is a graduate of the 2007-2008 class of Leadership Winston-Salem. She and her husband, Chris, have two children and she is active in Twin City Soccer.

Angie Hutchins
Angie holds two degrees, one in Business Management and the other in Data Processing and has been with DataMax since 1988, first with the credit bureau then serving for 9 years as supervisor over the mortgage department. When those businesses were sold to Equifax in 2000, Angie transferred to the collections department. After gaining first hand experience as a phone collector, Angie became a supervisor and is now the manager of the collections department. She still spends a part of every week on the collection dialer to supplement her staff and to set an example for our phone collectors.

Angie and her husband, David, have 2 daughters. In their free time they enjoy volunteering at their local YMCA in the Partners for Youth Campaign and working in their platform garden, playing golf and travel.

Terry Taylor
Terry Taylor graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 1983 with a BS in Business Administration. While at ASU he was the NC state president of the business fraternity Phi Beta Lambda. After college Terry worked as a manager at Belk Department Store before joining DataMax in 1987. Since April 1995 he has served as Vice President of Operations.

DataMax previously owned and operated the Credit Bureau of Winston-Salem before selling the operation to Equifax in 2000. Terry has served on several state and national Associated Credit Bureau Committees. He served as the chair of the Equifax Operations & Administrations Council before the sale of the credit bureau to Equifax. He is the current President of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Collections Association. Terry also served on the board of the Forsyth County Consumer Credit Counseling Service from 1995 -2001, 2005-2007 and starting a third term serving as the board secretary. He is a graduate of the 2009 class of Leadership Winston-Salem.

On a personal note, Terry works part-time at the Museum of Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA) in Old Salem, Winston-Salem, NC. He has a passion for history and is both an antique dealer and collector on the side. Terry is an active gardener having completed the Master Gardener program and his gardens have been featured in Country Home and Country Gardens magazines.

Sherry Waycaster
Sherry started at DataMax (then known as the Winston-Salem Retail Merchants Association) in 1985 as secretary to the manager of the association. Several lateral moves and promotions later she now serves as senior executive assistant for DataMax Corporation, DataMax Foundation, and Interstate Credit Collections.

Sherry is very active in the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) where she is currently serving as president-elect on the Board of the Winston-Salem Chapter. Sherry was named Winston-Salem Chapter IAAP Outstanding Member of the Year for 2006-2007. She also enjoys tutoring at a local elementary school through the Chamber of Commerce's "Book Worms" program.

Sherry and her husband, Robert, have 3 children and are very active in their church.

Celeste Cantres
Celeste started at Interstate Credit Collections in 2006 as a collector and is now in the support department. Before moving to North Carolina, Celeste received her degree in Business Administration where she was born and raised in New York.  Celeste enjoys spending time with family, creative writing, playing basketball and traveling.

Lynette Tuttle
Lynette is the payment processer for the accounting department.  She processes all the incoming mail payments from consumers and also all payments made directly to our clients at their offices.  Prior to working at Interstate Credit Collections, she was with Wachovia Bank for over 10 years.

Deb Shouse
Deb graduated with a B.S. in Business from Upper Iowa University. She worked 5 years for LabOne before coming on board with Interstate Credit Collections. Deb joined our client services team as a sales executive in 2004 after she and her family relocated to North Carolina from Iowa. She is an active member of the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce, Wilkesboro Chamber of Commerce, and participates in the NC Medical Group Managers Association.

Deb and her husband, Jeff, have 2 children. They keep busy with their kid's school events and sporting activities.

Doris
Doris has worked at DataMax/ICC for 30+ years. She was first employed with the Credit Bureau of Winston-Salem Division and moved to the Collection Division after the sale of the credit bureau. As part of the support team, Doris is the main contact for many of ICC's clients.

Doris serves as secretary to the treasurer and is a member of the choir at her church. She is the proud mother of 1 son and grandmother to 3 grandchildren that keep her on the go and forever young.       

Angie
Angie has been employed by DataMax for more than 10 years. She works in the support department where she enjoys talking and working with clients and helping them with any questions they may have. She also helps with data entry, credit file maintenance and automated consumer dispute verifications. Angie was the 2007 Employee of the Third Quarter and 2007 Employee of the Year.

Angie and her husband, Brian, have one son. They also have four cats and one turtle. Angie's family enjoys going to college football and basketball games and are PSL owners with the Carolina Panthers – Go Panthers!

Lynn
Lynn came to work for Datamax (then known as the Credit Bureau of Winston-Salem) in 1972. She has worked in various departments serving both consumers and clients. Lynn has one son, Paul, a handsome grandson and a dog named Kenzie.

Lynn's hobbies include golf and shag dancing.

Dawn Barber
Dawn earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan. She was hired by DataMax in 1995 as part of the accounting team.

Dawn and her husband, Leo, have 2 daughters. Their whole family has been very involved in youth soccer since 1999.

Margie Stone
Margie has worked in the DataMax accounting department since February of 2004. She wears multiple hats in accounting, handling all accounting functions for the discount Federal Express service, processing all payments to our vendors and processing all incoming debtor payments for Interstate Credit Collections. She and her husband, Kenny, are proud parents of two daughters and very involved with their grandchildren. They enjoy the mountains and the beach in their spare time.

Billie Taylor
Billie Taylor comes to Revenue Cycle Management with 7 years experience in a critical access hospital where she was customer service representative, claims biller; processing commercial and Medicaid claims, appeals, pre certifications, and workers compensation claims.

Billie has lived in North Carolina since 1980 and has 4 children (two successful in a family-owned restaurant, one a Sergeant in the US Marines and one a senior in high school on the varsity basketball team).  She also has four wonderful grandchildren, 11, 7, 6 and 1-1/2.  When she’s not working, Billie keeps busy with her grandchildren, basketball, school events, house, pets, and fishing with her fiancé.

Cherie Adams
Cherie Adams holds an Associate Degree in Paralegal Technology with 3 years experience in the legal field working with workers compensation claims, subrogation claims, estates, risk management and various other legal issues. She joins Revenue Cycle Management with more than 12 years experience in healthcare/medical insurance collections. Cherie has experience as an insurance biller/collector for a large medical facility where she started out as a commercial insurance representative and then promoted to Medicaid biller.  She has managed an outsourcing company that employed approximately 40 people and serviced medical practices and facilities by assisting with their insurance needs. Cherie was business office manager for a critical access hospital where she managed the Patient Access Department, Financial Counseling Department, business office and two clinics.

Cherie and her husband, Edward,  have two boys and their family is actively involved in youth baseball, Relay for Life and their church along with the church youth group activities.

David Cox
David joined DataMax in December of 2008 after spending 15 years in business to business sales.  He started out working for the family business packaging craft products and slowly worked his way up to sales management.   David then worked at ADP and was instrumental in developing their Partner Perspective program for the Carolina’s region.  After a long stint with a medical device company, he got back into payroll and ultimately to us at DataMax.

David is a graduate of The University of South Carolina and holds a BS/BA.  He has lived in Greensboro since 1993 and is an active member of Christ Community Church

David and his wife, Lisa, have two children, two dogs, a guinea pig and two saltwater clams.
