Choosing the Right Collection Agency
Interstate Credit Collections has been in the debt collection business 1906. We are dedicated to giving our clients the highest quality service. Before selecting a credit collection agency for your needs, consider the following:
- Your agency should be a member of the national trade association, American Collectors Association (ACA) and endorsed by the local chapter of the Better Business Bureau. These organizations provide all-important standards and training. Unethical collection agencies come and go, sometimes taking your money with them.
- Your agency should employ trained, certified collectors who understand and abide by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and HIPAA and follow the requirements of state laws.
- Your agency should be insured, licensed and bonded.
- Your agency should be able to collect in other states.
- Ask about an agency's court and settlement record. Check them out with the appropriate regulatory agency.
It is important to know who you are dealing with. Choose an agency you can trust!
